Kia ora Bloggers,
Today for my tasks I read a book for 30 minutes, listened to an audiobook, and made dinner for my family.
The audiobook I listened to was Trish the troll by David Walliams. he is releasing an audiobook every day during the quarantine. If you would like to listen to one here is a link.
The dinner I made was Japanese Curry. I chose to make that because it is one of my favourite meals. I enjoyed making it but I cut myself when I was peeling the potatoes. It ended up being delicious.
I was a pupil at Marshland School and this blog is where I shared my learning. This blog has been archived, no further content will be uploaded or added. You are welcome to continue viewing posts, however commenting has been disabled.

School from home - Day 3
Kia ora Bloggers,
Today for home learning, I made a book cover for Gangsta Granny on Canva, completed a puzzle, and continued reading a book.
For the book cover, I decided to do one for Gangsta Granny by David Walliams. Here it is:
Book Cover by Hana Kennedy
The puzzle I completed was one that my friend made. Here it is:

School from Home - Day 2
Kia Ora Bloggers,
Today for my 3 tasks, I videoed myself catching a tennis ball, read an article on KEA kids new, and read a book for 30 minutes.
I caught about 14 tennis balls before dropping one. My mum caught 23 before dropping one(She didn't want to be recorded).
The article on KEA kids news was about how you can greet others without touching. Here is a link to the article if you would like to read it: link
I continued reading How to Train your Dragon.

School from home - day 1
Kia ora bloggers,
Because we are not allowed to go to school, our teachers have set up some tasks for us to do over the next few weeks. We have to complete 3 tasks a day. Today I completed a digital puzzle, played a game on math playground, and read a book for 30 minutes.
Here is the puzzle I completed:
The game I played on math playground is TIO:
The book I read is How to train your dragon. I am going to continue reading the series over the next few weeks.
How are you doing school from home? Are you enjoying it so far?

My perfect Pepeha
Kia Ora bloggers,
We have been learning some Maori on Friday mornings. We have been making pepehas. First, we had to make a simple version using an online generator. Here is the link to make a pepeha. Here is mine that I made from this website.
Have you ever written a pepeha before? If so comment down below.

After we made that, we had to make a slide with a line or two on each slide. We were allowed to use our bitmojis'. mine is not finished as I haven't added the bitmojis' in yet.

Cool Coding
Kia Ora Bloggers,
On Wednesday afternoons, we have been starting to learn how to code. Today we made a picture and wrote a code for it. The code is called binary. It consists only of zeros and ones. We had to make a 10x14 table on google docs and fill in some of them as a drawing. Here is my code:

My Superb Sestina/NZ Writing
Kia Ora Bloggers,
Today for writing, we have been working on a sestina poem. A sestina is a poem that has 6 lines, each with 6 words. We had to write about a journey. This is what our sentences had to be about:
Today for writing, we have been working on a sestina poem. A sestina is a poem that has 6 lines, each with 6 words. We had to write about a journey. This is what our sentences had to be about:
Line 1 - Something you saw
Line 2 - Something you remember
Line 3 - A person who was with you
Line 4 - A wonderful imagined thing that didn’t actually happen
Line 5 - A reason for your journey
Line 6 - Random 6 word sentence
Here is my Sestina Poem:
6 line,6 word story
A climbing wall, outside a mall
A tower of crispy chicken rice
My mum and my annoying brother
I ate a donut every day
There were some wonderfully cheap flights
I really want some cheese rolls
We will be sending these to a school in Hamilton. We are looking forward to reading.
Mine doesn’t make much sense but our teacher said that that is ok.
