Tiny House

Hello Everyone,
This week since we have swimming lessons we have been assigned some tasks to do. One of the tasks is to make and design a tiny house out of paper. Here is mine that I made with Billie-Jo and Hannah.

We have a bed high up on the wall and a ladder so you can get up. There is a piece of artwork underneath the bed and a couch underneath that. There is also a TV. There is a table that folds up onto the wall. There is a kitchen and a bathroom next to it.

The Marshland Press

This term in inquiry, we learnt about different types of media. After we had learnt about the 4 types - online, print, radio, and news broadcast, we split off into 4 different groups to study our chosen type of media. I was in print media and we made a newspaper called 'The Marshland Press'. This is our Newspaper. I was a photographer and reporter.

In literacy, we have been making a video essay. This is mine. It is about the genre sci-fi. It had to be 3 minutes long.

Properties of Shapes

In maths this week we have been learning some shapes. I made a poster to show some of them.
The lines show the lengths of the sides. If 2 sides have the same amount of lines it means they are the same length. The arrows show if 2 lines are parallel. I made it on google draw.

Goal Ladder

Hello Bloggers! This is my goal ladder that I made at the start of this term. 
Reading
My goal this term was to read novels and be able to analyse the characters, settings, plot and themes in great detail. I read a book every night so I can move up one on the ladder. I will focus on the next few rungs next term. 
Writing 
My goal this term for writing was to proofread and edit my work for spelling, punctuation and grammar. I searched up words if I didn't know the meaning, I also worked on my grammar so I can move up two rungs.
Maths
My goal for maths this term was to find the rule in patterns and express this rule as a formula. We did geometry in maths this term so I had to do my math goal at home. I learnt how to find the rule in patterns by going online. I did that at home so I can move up two rungs.
Resilience
My goal for resilience this term was to demonstrate the ability to bounce back from adversity.  I worked with people that I usually don't work with. I controlled my anger when people were being annoying. I achieved the other two rungs as well. I achieved this goal!
